A Brief History of the Heebee-jeebees

The Heebee-jeebees are an a cappella quartet formed in 1993, and in the past 15 years have sung thousands of performances, appeared on local, national and international radio, television and print. The group has a reputation for being hilarious, entertaining and extremely talented. The Heebee-jeebees have released 7 recordings, all to international recognition including 4 CARA nominations and 2 CARA Awards. They have won the Canadian Championships of Harmony twice, as well as Championships in the USA. They continue to impress and entertain audiences with their voices, and are considered the best of comedic a cappella entertainment.

The Heebee-jeebees are: Cédric Blary, Chris Herard, Ken Lima-Coelho and Jonathan Love.

	Dr. Cédric Blary “the VET” (in that, he loves animals – he’s actually the newest Hbjb as of 09/19/98) Dr. Blary started his practice at a young age, and hasn’t stopped practicing since. He works with ultimate precision with any instrument but has a passion for the clarinet in particular. He has done his rotations as a clinician for many educational facilities, and has ‘scrubbed in’ with many fellow operators to much acclaim. Dr. Blary is the bass of all Hbjbs operations.
	Dr. Chris Herard “Mr. MD” Dr. Herard was always told he was special, but his road to becoming a specialist was a windy one. A road he gladly drives in a Porsche Boxter convertible like any good doctor. When he’s not in the OR (Outriders Rehearsal), he’s in the ER (Educational Resource Centre) band-aiding our musical youth.
	Ken Lima-Coelho MN “Male Nurse” Nurse Ken has always been on call for the public. His public have had an ample dose of him at the CBC. Whether he appears on the monitor, or is monitoring those who are, Ken nurses everything – from wounds to drinks. Having only dabbled in midwifery, Nurse Ken was forbidden by his wife to deliver his own baby, Adam Grayson, but claims to administer his share of diaper changes.
	Dr. Jonathan Love “Witch Doctor” Dr. Love is not really a doctor – but he has played so many on screen, he can’t remember “which doctor” he is! His range of operations have been applied to many Med Shows in many stages. Dr. Love has recently taken up radio-logy and maintains a motto that mirrors his motto “B Positive.” Whatever the job – he’s bloody good. Dr. Love is allergic to kiwis and a cappella.
